Grids
  1. In certain circumstances, deleting all records from a table will result in the grid not being available.  This has been fixed with version 2.2.3 - see the What's New section for details on upgrading your production version.

Detailed Printing Notes

  1. When first landing on the Grid the cursor will not move with movement keys. Work Around:  Double click on the Grid, this will put you in the Edit mode and will then allow movement on the Grid using the movement keys.

Printing

  1. If the DRKWIZ16.INI or DRKWIZ32.INI file is not in the Windows directory then the size of the printout will be very, very small. Work Around: Bring up the Defaults screen and then press the [Set Defaults] button. This will re-write the *.INI file into the Windows directory and printing will function normally.

16-bit Version Install:

  1. In certain circumstances the Install process mis-identifies a regular production install as a Demo install.  This is shown as message upon startup that that this is a production version but it was installed as a Demo.  There is a "patch" available in the download section that will fix this problem and allow the program to start in a normal fashion (direct link   download.html )

16-bit Version Timers:

  1. If a series of Up timers are started in rapid succession on relatively "slow" computers  the Stop timer flags will show. Work Around:   Do not start a series of timers rapidly on these machines.  Wait about a second between start times.  This is not a problem with faster 32-bit machines.

Listed here are problems with  Convecto that are known to exist and any workarounds that are available until the problem is resolved in a new version.

Grid data not available after a Single Record View closed:

  1. If the set of records in the grid are changed while the Single Record view is present (applying a filter, etc.) then the records in the grid will not be available once the Single Record view is closed.  A fix for this problem has been created in the new 1.1.1 version.  The program selections that create the problem are made unavailable when a Single Record is being viewed or edited.
